Toyota GR Supra A90

Weaknesses, engine ratings and buying advice

4.0 / 5.0 · Based on 2 engine variants · How we rate

The GR Supra A90 is Toyota-BMW co-development: Z4 platform, B58 inline-six, Toyota chassis tuning. 50:50 weight distribution.

The B58B30 from 2021 (382 hp) is one of the best inline-sixes on sale: closed-deck, forged bottom end, 600+ hp capable on stock internals. From 2023 finally available with a six-speed manual.

Known problems: Variable oil pump (2019–2021) plastic ring cracks at cold start — critical buy check. ZF-8HP and active LSD throw spurious warnings. On track: transmission oil and brakes reach limits quickly.

2026 market: Auto 3.0 from ~€49,000. Manual from 2023 ~€62,000. Production ended March 2026.
