The Renault Kangoo II (2008-2021) is a passenger high-roof estate with van genes - and it clearly shows in daily use. Several spots deserve special attention when buying used: the lower sliding door track and the sills, where surface rust develops, the underbody behind the front jack point, and the sliding door mechanism itself - sticking or poorly closing doors are not rare. On high-mileage cars it's worth checking the clutch and dual-mass flywheel, which wear earlier than on a pure passenger car due to commercial use with loads and maneuvering. The AC condenser, central locking and window regulators also fail above average. The Kangoo Z.E. is a special case as an early electric pioneer: the first generation with a 22 kWh battery rarely exceeds 100 kilometres in real-world use, noticeably less in cold weather or with heating on, and charges slowly via AC only. The Z.E. 33 introduced in 2017 with a 33 kWh battery is noticeably more usable day to day but still lacks fast charging.
