Models with vacuum pump (3.5L EcoBoost applications) show known vacuum pump failures that instantly reduce braking power. The brake pedal goes hard or sinks to the floor.
Lower ball joints on the 11th Gen F-150 are a known wear item that typically fails before other suspension components — especially on 4WD trucks used off-road. Replacement cost is moderate but alignment required after.
