3.0L Duramax inline-6 diesel — the only I6 diesel in a US pickup. LM2 (2020-2022) had early issues: crankshaft reluctor wheel, rear main seal, DEF system. From 2023 completely revised (LZ0, steel pistons replacing aluminum). Buyers: avoid LM2 or inspect carefully, prefer LZ0.
Tahoe 3.0 Duramax — highway diesel in an SUV
277 hp inline-6 diesel: the most economical Tahoe option. LM2 (2021-2022) with early issues, LZ0 (2023+) significantly better. Ideal for high-mileage drivers.
