Fun Factor? Decent

E-crossover, solid

184 hp in a city SUV — sporty suspension tune, but the SUV format costs go-kart feeling. Above average for an electric crossover.

Engine Weaknesses 2

!! Power Reduction After DC Fast Charging

After several consecutive DC charging sessions, power output is throttled to 10–60 percent of rated power without any dashboard warning. The cause is overheating of the power electronics. Primarily affects long-distance journeys with multiple fast charges.

Symptoms: Noticeably reduced acceleration after DC charging on long trips, power recovers only slowly during normal driving

500–3,000 € from 50,000 km
! Charging Software / OTA Updates (First-Gen U-Era)

Early reports on U-era electric MINIs (Cooper E/SE F66, Aceman, Countryman E U25) show occasional charging issues and software errors that are addressed via OTA updates. Long-term reliability not yet established.

Symptoms: Error message during charging, reduced charging power, infotainment software crashes

Vehicle Weaknesses 6

!! Other Check: Possible brake system recall (as with F66/U25)

The integrated braking system MK-C2 is subject to a recall on closely related U-era models (F66, U25). Whether the Aceman is also affected should be checked with the dealer.

!! Electronics Wiper stops mid-sweep

The windscreen wipers can stop in the middle of the windscreen while driving and remain stationary for several seconds before resuming. A safety-relevant issue in poor visibility.

0–300 € from 10,000 km
! Electronics Software teething problems on new infotainment platform

The new infotainment system shares software issues with other U-era models. A software recall has already been confirmed for the Aceman that could not be applied via remote update.

! Interior Build quality below expectation

As with other MINI U-era models, early owners criticise the material quality and the reduced number of physical controls compared to earlier MINI generations.

! Electronics Charging time window setting is ignored

The vehicle starts charging immediately even though a charging time window has been set for cheaper electricity tariffs. A software update resolves the issue temporarily.
