Acura RDX
1.5L turbo from the Civic, 241 hp in RDX. Early 2019-2021 models had limp mode issues (fuel pump recalls). Much more stable from 2022. Watch for oil dilution on short trips.
Turbo four with ambition โ compact Acura with bite
L15B7 delivers more punch than numbers suggest. 10-speed more responsive than anything Acura had before. Not a sports car, but an SUV that doesn't put you to sleep.
Engine Weaknesses 1
Early TB4 RDX shows limp mode from misfires or fuel pump failures. ECU software update and intercooler replacement documented as fixes.
Symptoms: Sudden loss of acceleration at highway speed, vehicle slows to 25-40 mph, check engine light
Vehicle Weaknesses 2
Rear windshield shatters spontaneously without external impact. TSB 22-014 documents the issue but no formal recall. Warranty replacement possible.
Rear coil springs corrode in salt belt regions and snap. Broken spring can damage tires or brake lines.
